Saw Palmetto Side Effects? (2025)

I took it even before I was losing hair so I can honestly say if anything it only delayed the process. To what degree if any I do not know.

Never took it myself, but my uncle swears by it. But not for hair loss, he has a full head of hair and he takes it for other reasons completely other reasons. Hmmm... maybe he's lying about the hair loss and that's the real reason that he's taking it...

I took saw palmetto for a month and a half back in jan 2004 and it gave me Erectile Dysfunction whicn took about 4-5 months to get over not including the additional few months of performance anxiety because of the psychological effect you get when your willy dont work.......

Ill second that. I got the same thing, and it took a long time for it to go away for me too. It did make my head less itchy and I did lose a little less hair, but it wasnt worth it.

Well we all know people are different in lots of ways. Maybe different types of hormones at different levels or whatever being changed differently for different people. Im about 99 percent positive there was no imagining this. Also the first time I time I took it I saw a drop of blood a tiny drop everytime I um er you know. That my friends never happened to me in the 20 years until I happened to take saw palmetto. It absolutely had effects on me when I see tiny amount of blood there is no arguing the effects were real.

I took the stuff for a couple weeks and I would go to urinate and 5 minutes later I would have to go again....this happened repeatedly throughout the day.....so i ditched it.....I've also heard of people with blood in their urine from it in rare cases.

Stuff KILLED my libido, and this was before I even knew it had the possibility of doing that.
